Join us for the Stakeholder Training on Examination Practice and Procedure (STEPP) four-day virtual course starting Tuesday, July 23, through Friday, July 26. The course will meet daily from noon to 4:15 p.m. ET.

Register today

This course is open to current or future inventors and will focus on how examiners review patent applications according to the Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP).

Course details are available on the STEPP inventor general schedule. Attendees are expected to complete pre-activity homework. This includes several computer-based training modules and reading resource materials. Similar to the training of new USPTO examiners, a sample application will be provided as the focus of exercises during each module.

Interest forms are accepted until Tuesday, July 16, or until full. Registrants must meet certain criteria to be accepted to attend.
