Planned Events

Oracle Upgrade and Hardware Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on Public PAIR, OPD (One Portal Dossier), and P-GD-PAD (Global Dossier – Public Access Dossier) beginning at 11 p.m., Friday, March 26 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, March 27 ET.

The databases for Public-PAIR will be moved to new hardware and upgraded to a new version of Oracle.

During the maintenance period, the systems will be unavailable.

System Maintenance Impacting External Systems and Fee Payment Processing

The USPTO will perform system maintenance beginning at 12:01 a.m., Monday, March 29 and ending at 3 a.m., Monday, March 29 ET.

All public facing systems will experience intermittent outages during the maintenance window.

If a USPTO webpage is unavailable, please wait a minute and try again by refreshing the browser.

In addition, all payment processing will be unavailable across the following USPTO storefronts:

Fee Payment Processing Maintenance

The USPTO's Third-Party Credit Card Processing service, Pay.gov, will be performing maintenance that impacts USPTO credit/debit card fee payment processing beginning at 2 a.m., Sunday, March 28 and ending at 6 a.m., Sunday, March 28 ET.

The following USPTO storefronts will be unable to accept Credit/Debit card payments during the maintenance period:

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. If your deadline is today and the document cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. Public PAIR Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on Public PAIR in support of Patent Application Location and Monitoring - Infrastructure (PALM-INFRA) PROD deployment beginning at 1 a.m., Monday, March 29 and ending at 5 a.m., Monday, March 29 ET.

During the maintenance period, there will be no outage to Public PAIR as the servers will be restarted in a rolling fashion.

Private PAIR Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Private PAIR system beginning at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, March 31 and ending at 5 a.m., Wednesday, March 31 ET.

During the maintenance period, the system will unavailable.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Friday, April 2 and ending at 8 a.m., Friday, April 2 ET.

During the maintenance period, the following systems and systems that interface with these systems will be unavailable:

The maintenance will also cause interruptions to payment processing for users of the Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS), the Order Entry Management System (OEMS), the Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End to End (PTAB-E2E).
