Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the BDSS from 1-5 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 18.
BDSS will be unavailable during the maintenance period.
Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) application on two nights:
- The first night of maintenance will be from midnight-5:30 a.m. ET on Friday, July 19.
- The second night of maintenance be from midnight -5:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 21.
TSDR will be available but might experience some slow response time during the maintenance period.
Multiple Manuals Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance impacting multiple manuals from midnight-5:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, July 20.
The following manuals will be briefly unavailable during the maintenance period:
- Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (eMPEP)
- Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP)
- Trademark Federal Statutes and Rules (TFSR)
- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Manual of Procedure (TBMP)
- During the maintenance period, MPEP will be available via PDF and HTML files posted at Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (uspto.gov).
Content Management Systems (CMS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on CMS beginning at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, July 19 and ending at 5 a.m. ET on Saturday, July 20.
The following system will be partially impacted during the maintenance period:
- Patent Center: Previously submitted documents will not be available at the Patent Center’s Documents and Transactions tab. New documents submitted via Patent Center will experience longer than expected delays in becoming available in the Patent Center’s Documents and Transactions tab. Customers should check back during business hours of Monday, July 22 to see if the impacted submissions are available at Patent Center.
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on multiple systems from midnight-5:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 21.
During the maintenance period, the following component services will not be available:
- ESTTA - Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals
- TTABVUE- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
- TTAB-Reading-Room - Trademark Trial and Appeals Board - Reading Room
First Actions System for Trademark 2 (FAST2) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the FAST2 application from midnight-5:30 a.m. ET Sunday, July 21.
During the maintenance period, FAST2 will be unavailable.
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform routine maintenance from midnight-6 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 21.
During the maintenance period, the following component services will not be available.
- Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
- Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Inquiry System (TTABVUE)
- Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
- Trademark Electronic Official Gazette (TM-eOG)
