| 1. In a wireless network including a radio access network for transmitting information between a user equipment device and
a core network, a method of configuring signaling radio bearers in the user equipment device, comprising:
receiving a signaling radio bearer configuration information element (IE) with the user equipment device, the signaling radio
bearer configuration IE including configuration information for a pre-selected number of signaling radio bearers;
determining whether the configuration information for more than one signaling radio bearer is identified by the same signaling
radio bearer identity information element (IE); and
if the configuration information for more than one signaling radio bearer is identified by the same signaling radio bearer
identity information element (IE), then identifying the received signaling radio bearer configuration IE as an anomalous information
element.
