| 1. A security device for attaching to an article to be protected from theft, said device comprising:
a rigid housing;
a compartment formed in the housing;
an entry port in communication with the compartment;
a strap permanently connected to and extending outwardly from the housing to a terminal end and having sufficient stiffness
to provide a preset curvature to the strap;
an unsecured position of the strap in which the terminal end of the strap is located closely adjacent the entry port to facilitate
insertion of the terminal end through the entry port; and
a secured position of the strap in which the strap and housing together form a closed loop around an article-receiving space
when the terminal end is inserted through the entry port into the compartment; the article-receiving space adapted to receive
a portion of the article.
