| 1. A leadframe assembly for an electrical connector, the leadframe assembly comprising:
a dielectric leadframe housing; and
a linear array of electrical contacts, each of the electrical contacts extending through the leadframe housing, the linear
array extending along a first direction and including a first ground contact, a first signal contact positioned adjacent to
the first ground contact, a second signal contact positioned adjacent to the first signal contact, and a second ground contact
positioned adjacent to the second signal contact,
wherein (i) the first and second ground contacts are separated by a first distance along the first direction, and (ii) each
of the first and second ground contacts defines a respective lead portion thereof having a side length along the first direction
that is greater than the first distance.
