1. An amplifier apparatus, having a non-linear high-frequency power amplifier amplifying a first input signal and a power supply voltage control section receiving as input an external power supply forming a power supply voltage for the high-frequency amplifier based on a second input signal, amplifying the signal level of the first input signal using the high-frequency power amplifier to a level corresponding to the second input signal,
the power supply voltage control section having a delta modulator configuration or a delta-sigma modulator configuration and comprising:
a quantizer quantizing a signal according to a signal level of the second input signal;
a plurality of down-samplers down-sampling quantized outputs obtained from the quantizer at a lower speed than a sampling rate of the quantizer and with respective phases shifted; and
a combiner combining outputs of the plurality of down-samplers.
