| 1. A method for producing a catalytically-active material having at least one base component and at least one catalytically-active
component comprising the steps of:
heating said at least one base component to a softening temperature or a melting temperature, said at least one base component
comprising olivine;
incorporating said at least one catalytically-active component into said softened base component or said molten base component,
forming said catalytically-active material; and
solidifying said catalytically-active material.
