1. A method comprising:
a mote network receiving a signal to reset and applying the signal to reset to place the mote network into a reset condition; and
propagating a reset signal through the mote network to reset subsets of motes within the network to different operational states in accordance with the type of sensor comprised by the subsets of motes.
