| 1. An image processing method of forming a histogram of an original image, setting an image processing condition in accordance
with the formed histogram, and performing image processing for the original image, the method comprising the steps of: using
a computer to perform the following steps:
judging from a distribution of the formed histogram whether the original image is an image picture; and
if it is judged in said judging step that the original image is an image picture, controlling such that an exposure correction
is performed for the original image, and if it is judged in said judging step that the original image is a graphics image,
controlling such that the exposure correction is not performed for the original image.
