| 1. A method for identifying line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions in a received ultra-wideband signal,
comprising:
calculating a statistical quantity of the received signal based on delays and amplitudes of one or more multipath components
of the received signal;
setting up a hypothesis test based on the probability density functions of the statistical quantity for the LOS and NLOS conditions;
and
applying the calculated statistical quantity to the hypothesis test to determine whether the received signal is LOS or NLOS.
