| 1. An audio apparatus comprising:
a tuner operable to receive a carrier wave signal including at least an analog audio signal and a digital audio signal broadcast
from a broadcast station;
a scan controller operable to direct the tuner to search for the carrier wave signal and to receive the carrier wave signal
for a certain period of time;
a selecting unit operable to select one audio signal from the analog audio signal and the digital audio signal sent from the
tuner during a scan operation; and
a speaker for generating the audio signal selected by the selecting unit.
