| 1. An image forming method, comprising:
forming a toner image on an image carrier of an image forming apparatus;
transferring the toner image on the image carrier onto an intermediate transfer member;
transferring the toner image on the intermediate transfer member rotating at a linear speed Vc onto a recording medium, which
is fed along a first conveyance path from a registration roller pair rotating at a linear speed Vr, by a transfer member;
fixing the toner image on the recording medium, which is fed along a second conveyance path from the transfer member, by a
fixing member rotating at a linear speed Vt;
determining whether the recording medium is a thin recording medium or a thick recording medium;
when the determining determines that the recording medium is the thick recording medium adjusting the linear speeds such that
Vr <Vc <Vt: and
when the determining determines that the recording medium is the thin recording medium, adjusting the linear speeds such that
Vc <Vr <Vt,
wherein a combined length of the first and second conveyance paths is shorter than a maximum length of the recording medium
of the image forming apparatus.
