| 1. A liquid crystal display, comprising:
a first substrate;
a pixel electrode disposed on the first substrate;
a second substrate disposed substantially opposite the first substrate;
a common electrode disposed on the second substrate;
a first polarizer comprising a first polarization axis disposed on the first substrate;
a second polarizer comprising a second polarization axis disposed on the second substrate;
a plurality of partitioning members, which divide a pixel region into a plurality of domains, disposed on at least one of
the first substrate and the second substrate; and
at least one partitioning member extension which extends obliquely from at least one of the plurality of partitioning members
in a direction substantially parallel to at least one of the polarization axes and substantially parallel to an edge of the
pixel electrode.
