| 1. A machine readable information recording medium embodied as a recordable optical disc for access by an optical disc drive,
the information recording medium comprising:
a first area in which a video file is recorded,
the video file including a plurality of extents,
the video file including an unrecorded area and a video object,
the unrecorded area being able to store new video data,
the unrecorded area being managed as at least one of the extents,
the video object having video object units,
one of the video object units containing video packs, audio packs, and one begin pack,
each of the video packs and the audio packs having a predetermined size, and
said begin pack including recording time information of the corresponding video object unit;
a second area in which a management file is recorded,
the management file including video management information,
the video management information having program chain information,
the program chain information containing cell information,
the cell information describing a presentation period within the video object, and
the video file, the management file and a backup file being stored under a DVD-RTR directory; and
a third area in which file management information is recorded,
the file management information including a file entry (FE),
the file entry specifying a location of the video file,
the file entry including a short allocation descriptor having length information on one of the extents and position information
of an extent,
logical blocks and logical sectors being assigned to the information recording medium,
AV address being defined in the video file,
the video management information including information expressed in the AV address,
the information expressed in AV address being changed when the file management information changes, and
the file management information being changed according to a change of size of the video file,
wherein the video management information is provided to control recording, playing back, or editing the video file by an information
recording/reproducing apparatus, the video file is accessed according to the video management information.
