| 1. A recording medium comprising a recording area, wherein:
the recording area includes a first area and a second area,
the first area includes a fourth area including N number of frame areas, N being equal to or greater than 2,
each of the N number of frame areas includes an area in which a synchronization code sequence and at least a portion of data
are recorded,
the synchronization code sequence which is recorded in the frame area located at the start of the fourth area is different
by a code distance equal to or greater than 2 in the NRZI representation from any synchronization code sequence which is recorded
in any of the frame areas other than the frame area located at the start of the fourth area, and
the length of one of the second area and the frame area is substantially integer times the length of the other.
