1. A drilling fluid for drilling in a subterranean formation comprising an invert emulsion drilling fluid having a G′10/G′200 elastic modulus ratio greater than about 2 and/or a yield point in the range of from about 1.6 Pa to about 2.9 Pa at a shear rate in the range of from 0.03 s-1 to 3.0 s-1 wherein the drilling fluid comprises:
a continuous phase;
an internal phase;
an emulsifier;
a weighting agent;
a rheology modifier;
a filtration control agent; and
0 to about 3 pounds per barrel of organophilic clay.
