1. A method of oscillator gain normalization in a phase locked loop (PLL) based transmitter, said method comprising the steps of:
first applying a first gain multiplier to a modulation path;
second applying a second gain multiplier to said PLL; and
wherein said second gain multiplier comprises a significantly less precise version of said first gain multiplier.
