| 1. An infant car seat, comprising:
a base;
a plurality of latch components carried on the base including a lever link, one or more latch hooks biased to a latching position
and coupled with the lever link, and a release link coupled at one end to the latch hooks and at the other end to the lever
link;
a carrier to detachably secure to the base; and
latch components carried on the carrier including a handle connected to a hook movable via the handle and one or more carrier
pins, the hook coupled with the lever link,
wherein the handle on the carrier can move to cause the hook on the carrier to selectively engage or disengage the base and
to cause the lever link to move the release link and in turn move the latch hooks on the base to selectively engage and disengage
the carrier pins, and wherein the carrier has a carrier weight of less than 10 pounds, and the infant car seat has a rated
weight of up to 40 pounds.
