We have extended the deadline for registering to attend in person and requesting to participate as a speaker at the listening session on changes to the attorney recognition rule to September 22.

Join our public listening session September 26 from 2-3:30 p.m. ET in person or online to share your feedback on whether we should retain or revise the current trademark rule regarding attorney recognition.

If you would like to speak in person or remotely, please email TMPolicy@uspto.gov the following information by September 22:

  • Your name (or the name of the person who will speak)
  • Whether you will speak in person or virtually
  • Any organizations that you represent
  • Your address, telephone number, and email address where you can be contacted

We’ll only hear public comments from confirmed speakers. You can also submit written comments until October 6.
